About the Caterer
Beth Gibans has been cooking since she was a young girl, first cooking dinners for her family and then as co-owner of Delectable Desserts, a dessert catering business she started with a friend in high school. For years Beth has assisted venerable contra dance camp chef Annie Johnston, learning much from her generous and delicious style of cooking. Beth branched out with her own catering business in 2000, incorporating her experiences with dance camps afar and local weddings and events in Wallowa County.
She currently delights the palates of dancers at the Tropical Dance Vacation in St. Croix, Stellar Days and Nights in Buena Vista, Colorado, and the Portland Country Dance Community’s Northwest Passage. She has also cooked on commercial river trips in the Grand Canyon and the Main Salmon. Closer to home (and on land), she caters a wide variety of events, from helping a bride and groom create a memorable celebration to feeding hungry workshop participants for a non-profit organization. Incorporating her background as an organic farmer, Beth always takes care to serve up fresh, seasonal, and delicious fare.
